Ave 66 Gardens

WIP

This street-facing corner property came with great bones: a beautiful house, productive citrus, and towering Peruvian apple cactus, but needed care, privacy, and structure. Our approach was to work outward from what already thrived.

Along the perimeter, we layered planting to soften the sidewalk edge and create privacy, pulling the parkways into the garden so the site reads as one continuous landscape. Inside, the garden opens up: a chain-link shade structure creates a dining room under vines of native grape and morning glory, while a small lawn of native grasses offers space to play and linger.

Citrus and cactus remain the anchors. A tucked-away jacuzzi and supporting amenities round out the space, balancing utility and ease. A garden reclaimed, not reinvented, designed for everyday use, shade, and growth.
